Who Is Mama Dee?
Dena Laurene Norris is a 74 year old retired elementary teacher and Great grandma who resides in Detroit Michigan. She is a reflexologist, healer, poet, artist and entrepreneur. As a reflexologist and entrepreneur she is known as MamaDena and DNA is her hype in the world of poetry and acrylic artwork. Forty years ago with multiple health challenges, Dena began the search for natural solutions to her ailments, sharing her successes, while expanding her knowledge and skills along the way. Presently more of her time is spent guiding others to improve their own health using exercise, meditation and supplements from Mother Nature which she emphatically refers to as First World Products. Simultaneously, Mama Dena is a full-time student of strategies to create generational wealth. Her endgame is to create a family trust that serves her family into the unforeseeable future.
A lifelong learner and teacher she began her higher education at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, and after four children and her bachelors degree at IUPUI in Indianapolis Indiana. Returning to Detroit, she earned her Master’s in the Science of Education at Mary Grove College. She retired from the public education system in 2010 but says she will never retire from children and recently taught a small group of them the art of acrylic pouring.
